Why Traditional Tattoos are Forever “Cool”?
Both tribal tattoos and traditional tattoos are symbolic and reflect any quality you want to portray. Here I would like to mention some valid reasons for choosing a traditional tattoo over a tribal tattoo.

Over the years tribal tattoos have become what are termed as Trendy. Every Tom, Dick or Harry chooses a tribal tattoo because it is the in thing to do. You may even continue to think so for some time especially during teens and youth. But once you come to the more mature age you will wish you hadn’t applied a trendy tattoo. For one, it is no more “trendy” nor does it have depth. The problem with trends is, it is extremely volatile. What is trendy today will be passé tomorrow.

Do not allow yourself to be influenced by what the society terms as “cool” either. Remember the cool chain link and barbed wire design which were considered cool and hundreds of people inked it. Well, those designs have now become jaded and generic.
Traditional tattoo on the other hand are eternal and forever “cool”. They stand the test of time and can never ever be called as generic nor can it set a trend. Some of those classic traditional tattoos are the nautical star tattoo, the dragon tattoos, the animals tattoo, the Zodiac signs tattoo and many more. You cannot make a mistake by choosing traditional tattoos since the symbolic value of these tattoos never change.

Ultimately the choice of tattoo is yours and yours only. Give it a lot of consideration before inking to avoid regret and the extra expense of removing or the embarrassment of covering it up. For the coolest traditional tattoo designs collection, I personally highly recommend Chopper Tattoo Gallery as it provided more than 4000 of award winning tattoo designs in it’s tattoo gallery.

Most of my tattoos are from 1969-1974, I had a few added 2002-2004, one oldie done over new 2004. Total of seven tattoos. My question is this: I have been thinking of the newer style of tattoos in half sleeve coverage/full sleeve coverage, in oriental tigers/dragons. I do like black & gray work, best. I am thinking of laser tattoo removal of old tattooing to “clean the canvas”. Would this be advisable/recommended, prior to starting on a new art collection?
