Janis Joplin’s Heart Tattoo
I like Janis Joplin’s heart tattoo design so much. and I’m a fan of heart tattoo designs. The history of heart tattoos dates back to the 20th century during which sailors and soldiers sported heart tattoos. Sailors normally got heart tattoos designed and inscribed “Mom” at the center of the heart and soldiers had girlfriend or wives’ names crafted on the heart tattoos.
Heart tattoos symbolize unconditional love since heart is considered to be the seat of the soul and wearing a heart tattoo conveys strong emotional bonds and meaning. Heart tattoos are a symbol of love, affection, caring, and passion. Heart tattoos are very popular with celebrities and some of the famous celebrities with heart tattoos include Jennifer Aniston, Ewan McGregor, Melanie Griffith, Minnie Driver, Kate Moss, and Rob Lowe to name a few, but one of the first artists who defined and introduced the heart tattoo to the world as an acceptable form of art appreciation and decoration was Janis Joplin.
