For women, fairies and colorful flowers can be added to the tattoo to make the design choice more beautiful and also give it a more feminine appearance.
Another type of cross tattoos are the Celtic crosses which were normally found in catholic churches especially in Ireland and also around the world. These crosses are also thought to be tribal. A debate has risen over the years trying to establish if the cross is actually one of the symbols of Christianity. This is because, the holy cross tattoos date way back before Christianity in British Isles.
